7-Day discover Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1. Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Meet and greet service with your driver guide. There after a short trip briefing. We shall depart from Arusha town, Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha airport for are scenic journey to the south. Drive across the Masai country side to Tarangire National Park. We shall have en-route wildlife viewing to our lodge / luxury camp for check-in and lunch. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras.
In the afternoon, we will embark on a game drive in search of these magnificent Elephants and other wildlife. Huge red termite mounds spread throughout the landscapes of Tarangire National Park. If time permits, we will also venture to the Tarangire River and lake Burunge for further animal sightings. Dinner & overnight in a lodge or luxury tented camp
Day 2. Tarangire – Lake Manyara
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast, check out & drive to Lake Manyara National park arriving in time for lunch. These alkaline or soda lake is inhabited by migratory flamingos and other pelicans. Of interest in this park is the sighting of tree climbing lions. Despite its smaller size compared to other parks, this ecosystem is teeming with magnificent creatures. The abundance of elephant, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest in this stunning location is truly remarkable. Our game drive is scheduled in the afternoon. We shall visit the Hippo pool located at one end of the lake during our intensive game viewing. Dinner and overnight in a lodge / luxury tented camp.
Day 3. Lake Manya – Serengeti National Park
You shall be up before sunrise to have have your breakfast. Thereafter check-out and experience a morning game drive on your way to exit. Thereafter, drive westwards down the Malanja depression. You will make a short stop at the Olduvai Gorge. Here, you’ll see where the remains of pre-historic man were discovered. A tour to a nearby small museum is worth a visit as there is so much to see. Your journey to Serengeti will continue arriving at the lodge or tented camp for late lunch. Game drive will start at 1600hrs unless you agree with your driver otherwise.
The treeless grassland of the Serengeti plains reveals a vast display of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and impala, not to mention the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. Dinner and overnight in the same lodge or tented Camp.
Day 4. Serengeti National Park.
This is your ultimate day of discovery. Your game drive will start immediately after early breakfast. You’ll make your way to the field with anticipation to see almost every thing you may have wanted to encounter on this discovery safari. The rich diversity of wildlife in this park is comparable to non in Africa. You’ll be provided with unlimited game viewing for best experience.
The Serengeti boasts a diverse array of wildlife, including frequent sightings of large herds of plains game and predators that are commonly spotted on game drives. It is here where the golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Episodes witnessed in Masai Mara in Kenya are common at Serengeti including the wildebeest migration.

Day 5. Serengeti – Ngorongoro
The early bird will serve as our wake-up call this day. Prepare and proceed to have your breakfast. Thereafter check-out and proceed to the plains for our last game viewing in Serengeti on your way to exit. Picnic lunch will be served enroute to Ngorongoro. The journey to Ngorongoro will take the entire afternoon. Arrive in our lodge / Luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Ngorongoro Crater floor
After your early breakfast, descend to this rich, vibrant world for a day of intense wildlife viewing. Ngorongoro conservation area has been named world heritage site & the 8th wonder of the modern world. Embark on a full day game viewing extravaganza. Picnic lunch shall be held on the crater floor.
You’ll be puzzled by the density of wildlife roaming the ecosystem. Then later, when you think you’ve seen everything, we’ll head back up to a wondrous sunset at the crater rim. Everything is magical while on a wildlife safari in Africa. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7. Ngorongoro – Arusha
This is the last day of your discovery safari in Tanzania. After breakfast, you’ll check-out and begin your journey to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha for lunch. Here is where your safari will end. But complimentary transfer can be provided to Kilimanjaro or Arusha airports for your onward journey.
