3 Days Samburu Safari Itinerary
Day 1. Nairobi – Samburu game reserve
Meet and greet with your safari driver. You’ll have a short trip briefing before your departure. Depart from Nairobi at 0700 hrs and drive north of Nairobi covering a distance of approximately 310 km .
But it’s not just going to be a non-stop journey. There is so much to see on our way. You’ll be brought through Tea, Coffee & pineapple plantations. Central province in Kenya makes part of Kenya’s food production zone and you’ll make stop hear to learn more about production and processes of this cash crops.
And this is not all. Ahead of us is Nanyuki town and just beyond it, we’ll make another stop to admire Mt.Kenya – Africa’s 2nd highest mountain. Thereafter proceed via the Equator crossing and on with our scenic drive to Samburu game reserve.
Embark on your first game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp for check in and Lunch. Another game drive will be provided in the evening before dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Samburu game reserve
Since so much is anticipated to be experience on this day, We’ll have early breakfast then leave for our extensive wildlife viewing. here’s so much variety of wildlife and landscape awaiting you on this short 3-day adventure
This shall be a full day of unlimited wildlife viewing. Possible sightings include unique wildlife species like Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Gravy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and other wild animals peculiar to this semi-arid region.
Your game drives will be along the Ewaso Nyiro river where most of the wild animals are found. And the exploration of the neighboring reserves will be a great compliment to our Samburu experience. We’ll also be looking for Lions, Elephants, wild dogs, Hyena, Ostrich and many more. The reserve is rich in bird-life and stunning volcanic terrain. All meals and overnight in the same lodge or tented camp.
Day 3. Samburu – Nairobi
This is our last day of our 3 Days Samburu safari. After breakfast we’ll check-out and add one more game drive to our list. We’ll be on the look for what we may not have seen during our safari.
Good bye does not come easy without trying for more wildlife sightings to our checklist. Wildlife viewing is Magical and this is what we can say! We’ll make our way out of the reserve and drive back to Nairobi. Lunch en-route.Arrive in Nairobi Late in the afternoon.
