Sweetwaters Serena Camp
One of the ideal places to stay at Laikipia Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Sweetwaters Serena Camp is a mid-range accommodation sited in the middle of the 90,000 acres of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is well known for its awesome variety of wildlife aside from the Big Five of East Africa.
The main reception, lounges and dining room are housed in an enchanting, colonial-style house with high, wooden beams holding up the roof and tiled floors.
The house features two bars, the Kashoggi Bar and the Waterhole Bar, which as its name suggests, also overlooks the watering hole.
There are also two swimming pools. Guests touring Laikipia are accommodated in one of the 39 tents that are erected on individual platforms in expansive, well-maintained wild lawns.
More About Sweetwaters serena Camp
Yellow fever trees, decorative shrubs and flowering bushes dot the property and paved walkways lead to the tents.
The camp has 12 tents with double beds and 27 twin-beds; few are enough to accommodate an extra bed or a baby crib.
Some of the tents are sited on raised platforms with several steps leading up while others are on ground level.
Grass thatch roofs above provide added heat shelter to the tents that have walls made of canvas with mesh windows and roll-up blinds while a few have glass doors (Morani Wing) which are also more well-appointed.
The glass door tents have built-in wooden wardrobes with a wooden doorway leading to the attached bathrooms at the back.
The toilet and shower areas are distinct and bathrobes, slippers and hairdryers are included for your use.
