13 Days Kenya Safari exploration Itinerary
Day 1. Nairobi – Samburu
Meet & greet followed by a short briefing about the safari you are about to undertake. Depart from Nairobi and drive heading to Samburu. Make some stops on on the way to view large scale tea & coffee plantations enroute. This journey one of the most scenic with spectacular views of snow caped peaks of mount Kenya. Make a short stop at the equator crossing and proceed to Samburu arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner & overnight in your lodge or Luxury tented camp of your choice.
Day 2.Samburu Game Reserve
Whole day spent in Samburu game reserve. The arid conditions have provided habitat for distinct animal survival peculiarities. We find the reticulated Giraffe ,the Grevy’s zebra, the Gerenuk, Somali ostrich, lion, elephants, cheetah, buffalo and crocodiles at the Ewaso Nyiro river which is the lifeline of the Samburu game reserve. Other species of game are also found. All meal and overnight in the same lodge or luxury camp.
Day 3. Samburu – Abardares National Park
After breakfast depart for Abardaeres with Game viewing en route to exit.
Proceed south to the Aberdare national park. Transfer to your tree hotel.
Both tree hotels provide spectacular viewing perches for night game viewing
Game is attracted by the waterholes and salt licks around the lodges.
Game drives at the salient are optional (extra cost).Dinner and overnight in your lodge.
Day 4. Abardare – Lake Nakuru national park
After an early morning breakfast, check out and drive via Thomson’s Falls with a stopover to view the scenic waterfalls .Proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving for Lunch. Afternoon game drive around the lake and into the national park. The lake Nakuru hosts the world’s largest concentration of flamingoes which canopy the edge of these alkaline Rift valley lake. Pelicans and other bird species are abundant and the adjacent national park hosts lions, giraffe, warthog, leopard etc. There is a Rhino sanctuary in this park so Rhino sighting is almost guaranteed. All meals and overnight in a lodge.
Day 5. Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
Depart after breakfast and drive to Masai Mara game reserve. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in search of the big five. Return to your lodge / luxury camp for dinner and overnight .
Day 6. Masai Mara Game Reserve
Whole day spent at the Masai Mara with game drives. Explore this vast tree studded reserve in search of lions, elephants, Giraffe, Cheetah, buffalo, Antelopes, Zebra etc. Wildlife in the Masai Mara is found in prolific numbers and the game reserve has highest wildlife concentration per square kilometer than any other park in africa. All meals & Overnight in your lodge / Luxury tented camp.
Day 7. Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Depart from our Lodge after breakfast with wildlife viewing enroute to our exit. Proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. We shall be exploring this lake in the afternoon. Take a boat-ride to explore the Lake Naivasha as you view Hippos and the exotic birds. This shall be followed by a walking safari on the crescent Island where you view Buffalo, Waterbuck, Antelope, Giraffes, Zebra among others.Dinner and overnight in a lodge / Luxury camp
Day 8. Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National park.
Early breakfast will be followed by a check-out from your lodge/tented camp. Optional visit the towering cliffs of the hell’s gate gorge .Much time will not be spend here as we have a journey ahead to Amboseli national park.We will have our lunch enroute. Arrive in Amboseli in the evening. Time permitting evening game and birding drive .Dinner and overnight in a lodge/Luxury tented camp.
Day 9. Amboseli National Park
We will start the day before sunrise to enjoy the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro and set off for a bird / wildlife drive before the clouds build up over the summit. Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and is snow-capped at the peaks. The majesty of this tropical mountain makes Amboseli an ideal photographer’s haven by offering a spectacular back ground for wildlife and scenic photography. Members of the big five exists with hippos and other grazers often seen from the observation hill.Amboseli boosts of a rich bird life, with over 400 bird species recorded. All meal and overnight in the same lodge / luxury tented camp.
Day 10. Amboseli – Tsavo East National park
Early breakfast followed by a checkout from your lodge. Short wildlife viewing enroute to our exit. Weather permitting there shall be awesome views of the Mount Kilimanjaro snow-capped peaks . Drive via Emali town to join the Nairobi mombasa road. Arrive in Tsavo east in time for lunch.Afternoon game drive.Dinner & overnight in a lodge / luxury tented camp.
Day 11. Tsavo East National Park – Mombasa
After breakfast depart from your lodge/luxury camp for the morning wildlife viewing. The wilderness life unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning. We shall traverse the park in search of the big five or what we may not have seen during our passed days. Later exit the park and drive to the Kenya beach resort. Beach resort booked on all inclusive.
Day 12. Kenya beach Resort of your choice.
Day spend at leisure with optional excursions. Hotel booked on all inclusive.
Day 13. Day of departure
After Breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back home
