It is here where Karen blixen lived in from 1912 when she arrived in Kenya .

Karen blixen house was designed and built in 1912 by Swedish engineer Ake Sjogren.
Karen was married to Bror’s until 1920 .Due to some issues the couple divorced & Karen was left alone managing the farm.

There are many literature s in her house that show her dramatic life she lived alone.
She also chronicled her time with Finch Hatton, said to be one of literature’s great romances.
In 1931 Finch Hatton was killed in an airplane crash flying to his beloved Tsavo and Blixen sold the farm returning to her native Denmark.
Today Karen Blixen house is under the Kenya national museums .Its open daily from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs.
