Karen blixen house was designed and built in 1912 by Swedish engineer Ake Sjogren. Karen was married to Bror’s until 1920 .Due to some issues the couple divorced & Karen was left alone managing the farm.

Today Karen Blixen house is under the Kenya national museums .Its open daily from 1000 hrs to 1800 hrs.
