Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Amboseli Sopa Lodge is set within mature wooded gardens with a wide variety of trees and plants which include thorn trees, Acacias, fragrant Frangipanis, colorful bougainvillea and giant cacti which all thrive in these surroundings.

The gardens are also home to numerous species of birds as well as monkeys, mongooses, squirrels, duikers, the occasional gazelle and, once in a while, even an ever inquisitive leopard.

The lodge is set in 200 acres of private land, and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Spacious cottages are interspersed throughout this large property, so your guest room may be a bit of a distance from the restaurant and other common areas.

Amboseli Sopa room options for your awe-inspiring bush holiday in Kenya are either a twin room with queen beds or double room with king beds, as well as wheelchair accessible and interconnecting rooms, and additional beds are available if needed.

More about Amboseli Sopa Lodge

For the best photographs of the mountain, you should note that the clouds typically clear in the early morning and late afternoon, and on some mornings, there may be fresh snow on the peak. The Amboseli Sopa lodge gardens are quite lovely, and the frangipanis, cacti, acacia thorn trees and other native flora attract some of the 425 bird species of Amboseli, as well as mongoose, monkey, genet and other smaller mammals. The pool is a pleasant place for families with children to spend quality time, after a day of wilderness touring in Amboseli with AfricanMecca.
